The 10th of Muharram (Ashura) is the day of the great sacrifice. It is a day to remember the supreme sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) and his noble family. From the thirst of the youngest child, Ali Asghar (AS), to the bravery of the standard-bearer Hazrat Abbas (AS), every member of the Ahl al-Bayt demonstrated unshakeable faith. Muslims in Kolhapur spend the day in prayer, listening to these events, and making Dua.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
