Eid-ul-Adha: The Festival of Sacrifice

"It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him." (Quran 22:37)

History of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)

Eid-ul-Adha commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail (AS), as an act of obedience to Allah's command. Just as he was about to perform the sacrifice, Allah replaced Ismail (AS) with a ram from Paradise. This act of submission is honored by Muslims worldwide through Qurbani.

Virtues of the First 10 Days of Dhul-Hijjah

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." It is recommended to fast (especially on the Day of Arafah), give charity, and recite Takbir abundantly during these days.

Takbir-e-Tashreeq

From the Fajr of 9th Dhul-Hijjah until the Asr of 13th Dhul-Hijjah, it is Wajib to recite the Takbir after every Fard prayer:
"Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illAllahu wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahil-hamd".
