The 10th of Muharram (Ashura) is the day of the great sacrifice. It is a day to remember the supreme sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) and his noble family. From the thirst of the youngest child, Ali Asghar (AS), to the bravery of the standard-bearer Hazrat Abbas (AS), every member of the Ahl al-Bayt demonstrated unshakeable faith. Muslims in Dera Ghazi Khan spend the day in prayer, listening to these events, and making Dua.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
"Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs."
